Cancellation Policy

You can close your Stacksift account at any time. There's no minimum

commitment, no cancellation fee, and no notice period.

How to cancel

1. Log in at stacksift.in/app/login

2. Go to /app/settings

3. Click "Close account"

4. Confirm in the dialog

Account closure is immediate and irreversible after 30 days.

What happens when you cancel

Immediately:

• All your API keys are revoked. Existing integrations that call our API

with those keys will get HTTP 401.

• Your account is marked as closed. You can no longer log into the

dashboard.

• Auto top-up is disabled (if you had it enabled).

During the 30-day recovery window:

• We retain your account data (email, payment history) in case you want

to reactivate.

• Email irfan@stacksift.in within 30 days to reactivate. We'll

restore your account.

After 30 days:

• We delete your account data per our Privacy Policy

retention rules.

• Payment records and invoices are retained for 7 years (Indian

tax-law requirement) but they will no longer be linked to a live

account.

Existing credit packs

When you close your account:

• Unused credit grants remain in the database until their

natural expiry (180 days from each purchase), but you cannot use them

because your API keys are revoked.

• We do NOT refund the rupee value of unused credits at closure

(see our Refund Policy for the 7-day refund window

for new purchases).

If you might come back, consider keeping your account open — credits

remain usable, and account closure is permanent after 30 days.

We cancel an account

We may close an account for cause:

• Material breach of our Terms of Service
• Fraud or chargeback abuse
• Use of the Service for illegal activity
• Non-payment of disputed charges after a reasonable resolution period

If we close your account for cause, we retain unused credits as a service

fee and do not refund recent payments.
